Lake Shasta Houseboat Rental Info

Not only is Lake Shasta known for it's incredible views of Mount Shasta, but it's also known as the "houseboat capital of the world", with over 400 rental houseboats available from the lake's many marinas.

A Lake Shasta houseboat vacation not only affords you great views, fishing, water sports and relaxation, but, with over 365 miles of shoreline, plenty of places to explore, many of which are only accessible by houseboats and other watercraft.

Located in Northern California, 200 miles from Sacramento and 10 miles north of Redding, Lake Shasta is a man-made lake which backs up three rivers, the Sacramento, the McCloud, and the Pit, making it California's second largest lake after Lake Tahoe. Noted for sunshine and warm weather for more than half of the year, Lake Shasta is well-suited for a houseboat vacation. While there are over 10 marinas to rent houseboats, we'll focus on three.
