Whitewater Rafting Trips


Whether it's rafting lazily down a river or an exhilerating whitewater rafting trip, a rafting vacation can be anything you want it to be. If going on a whitewater rafting vacation, do be sure you're up to the physical challenge of whitewater rafting. Don't push yourself to go rafting on a river that is rated higher than you can manage. If you're new to the sport, it helps to join a rafting trip with guides who are experienced.

Where are some of the hottest river rafting destinations? California comes up at the top of the list with such river rafting destinations as the North Fork, Middle Fork and South fork of the American River, as well as the Merced River.  Washington state is also a great place for river rafting, with white water rafting popular on the Skagit, Skykomish, and Wenatchee Rivers.  West Virginia is fast becoming a hot destination for rafters, with exciting whitewater rafting on the New River and the Gauley River.
